Day 1: Arrive Istanbul

Welcome to Turkey – a mesmerizing land of Romans and Ottomans! On arrival in Istanbul, you will be welcomed by your Cox & Kings representative and transferred by a private chauffeur-driven car to your hotel. With an over-abundance of important historic buildings and exciting new art galleries and museums, visitors have more than enough to see during the day, but it’s at night that the place swings into high-velocity, mega-stylish action. Istanbul is the capital for art and culture with a rich tradition in opera and ballet, theatres, concerts, art exhibitions, festivals, auctions, conferences and of course unique museums. Being an imperial capital for 1500 years, Istanbul has acquired a highly original personality. At every turn in the city, you are faced with Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman palaces, mosques, churches, monasteries, monuments, walls, and ruins. Yet Istanbul is not a city living only on its past. It is a vibrant, modern and future-oriented metropolis.

Day 2: Istanbul

The rest of the day is at leisure to discover this breathtaking city on your own.

Day 3: Istanbul – Kayseri – Cappadocia

This morning, you will be transferred to Istanbul airport for an early morning flight to Kayseri.

Day 4: Cappadocia

Enjoy sightseeing in Cappadocia (Seat in Coach). Today, in the morning visit, to Dervent Valley which has various types of fairy chimneys. Pasabaglari (Monk’s Valley) with some other types of fairy chimneys. Avanos Region, known for its pottery, a craft dating back to Hittite period. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Goreme Open-Air Museum, which is filled with pink, rose and white tapering columns. These tall free standing cones of stone curve and twist as if pulled from earth like taffy. The caves were settled in the 4th Century as monasteries. Visit some caves on the cliffs to see Byzantine frescoes decorating early Christian churches. Stop at Citadel of Uchisar and Esentepe for a beautiful view of Cappadocia.

Day 5: Cappadocia – Kayseri – Istanbul – Antalya

This morning, transfer from your hotel to the airport in Kayseri for your flight to Antalya. On arrival in Antalya, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. With a history dating back to 133 BC and a name meaning “Home of Attalos” referring to the founder of the city Attalos, it is a peaceful city situated at the slopes of the Taurus Mountains is rich in scenic beauties and historical monuments. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city of Antalya on your own.

Day 6: Antalya

Discover ancient Hellenistic and Roman treasure on a Full day tour (Seat in Coach). Today, enjoy discovering ancient Hellenistic and Roman treasure, including the unspoiled ruins of Perge, the magnificently preserved 15000 person theater of Aspendos and Kursunlu Waterfalls on a guided tour.

Day 7: Antalya – Istanbul Depart

Today, you will be transferred to the airport in Antalya for your flight back home.
